In 1980 I started Black Orchid with Ken Carpenter (drums) & Chris Medaglia (guitar). Not long after, Chris left and Jim Lassiter joined in. Eventually the membership cycled through a number of players, including Kathy Phipps on guitar, piano & vocals. But we did most of our work as a 3-piece with Jim. These photos show us loading up the gear (along with Mike Pearse, our faithful road crew) for another one of Ken's basement bashes.
